How Can I Make the Most of My 2-Year Wait Before Law School?
Dear Yvonne,
I am a law student who is about to graduate but can't go to law school for 2 years because of a backlog. I'm confused about what to do. I don't want to do NYSC before law school because this affects the job acceptance rate after law school. What should I do within those 2 years while I wait?
Yvonne says,
Hi, it’s quite daunting that you have to wait two years before law school. I would advise that you consider this a gap year. Gap years are growth opportunities and full of exciting possibilities. It’s time to ask what your skillset looks like beyond a law degree. I do know some law graduates who have sought out internships while they wait for law school, and go on to have amazing experiences that shape their careers from there.
