Sisterly HQ is looking for a creative, strategic, and proactive Content Creator & Social Media Manager to elevate our digital presence and engage our growing community of over 50,000 followers across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, video editing, and community engagement. You should be a strong writer, an engaging speaker, confident on camera, and skilled at leveraging trends to drive impact.
This is a contract role.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow our Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn accounts with engaging, inclusive, relatable and empowering content for our community.
Create fresh and templated content for stories, programs, and opportunities, ensuring consistency in brand identity.
Develop and maintain a content calendar that aligns with key initiatives, Sisterly HQ’s voice, and ethical trends.
Engage with the digital community by responding to comments, and messages, and fostering conversations with knowledge, empathy, and care.
Research and apply trends intelligence, ads and analytics to create innovative, far-reaching content that resonates with our community.
Collaborate with our small team on content strategy, programs, partnerships, and community-building.
Edit videos and create compelling visuals using digital tools, including Canva, and Capcut.
Plan and execute online events and interactive sessions to strengthen the community.
Ensure cybersecurity best practices when managing social media accounts and content.
Who You Are
A skilled storyteller with strong writing and communication skills.
Comfortable on camera and able to create engaging, thoughtful and innovative video content.
Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects and maintaining a content calendar.
Trend-savvy, always looking for creative and ethical ways to engage our community.
Proactive and self-motivated, able to take initiative while working collaboratively.
Passionate about women’s rights, economic empowerment, inclusivity, access to opportunities, storytelling, and digital advocacy.
Detail-oriented, with a commitment to high-quality, thorough work that reflects excellence and intentionality.
Cybersecurity-conscious, ensuring safe and secure content management with the utmost discretion.
Required Skills & Experience
6 months or more of professional experience managing social media accounts (Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn) with demonstrable results. This can include internships, volunteering, previous roles, and personal projects.
Video editing proficiency (CapCut, Instagram, TikTok and similar tools).
Graphic design skills (Canva and similar tools).
(Digital) community engagement and management experience.
Project management skills - able to own and execute tasks independently.
Experience planning and hosting online events.
